So what is the catch?
Why do I still pay every two years?
Dutch tax rules change every January and Apple ships a breaking OS every autumn. Someone has to be paid to keep up. Twice a decade, not twelve times a year.
What if I skip the update?
The version you own keeps opening your files and keeps invoicing. You do not get the new tax tables. Nobody is locked out.
Is this cheaper than my accountant?
Yes, and it does less. boeq does the bookkeeping and the BTW-aangifte. An adviser gives advice. Most eenmanszaken need the first far more often.
What happens to my books if you stop?
They are an encrypted file on your own Mac. The app you bought keeps opening it. There is no server to switch off.
